For a quality home, it was appropriate to build the best wall possible, with the most durable materials available. The wall consisted of 200mm of concrete with a layer of 100mm of Enertherm PIR used as continuous insulation and a Weather-Resistive Barrier.
All insulation joints were taped to shed water to the drainage channels at the base of the wall. Brick cladding was installed to complete a beautiful wall that will last well over 100 years.
