High-performance façade design requires confidence it will continue to perform through changing weather conditions, building movement and evolving compliance requirements. The Pro Clima FORTEX MELIOR system provides architects with a robust pre-cladding solution, independently tested to AS/NZS 4284 at the pre-cladding stage, allowing greater flexibility when selecting external cladding finishes.
At the heart of the system is ROCKWOOL Rainscreen, a non-combustible rigid stone wool insulation designed specifically for ventilated façade applications. Its combination of thermal efficiency, fire resilience, acoustic absorption and vapour-open construction makes it an ideal solution for vapour open wall assemblies.
The system incorporates Pro Clima’s ADHERO Weather Resistive Barrier, engineered to provide exceptional protection against wind-driven rain and pressure-induced water ingress. The fully adhered WRB creates a flat, continuously supported layer that enhances wind stability and long-term durability.
Combined with continuous ROCKWOOL Rainscreen, the system minimises thermal bridging, helping create energy efficient buildings while improving long term occupant comfort. The non-combustible properties of stone wool also enhance façade fire safety, providing an additional layer of protection outside of the structure. In addition to this the ROCKWOOL provides acoustic absorption that helps reduce the transmission of external noise through the building envelope.
By combining advanced weather protection with high-performance insulation, the Pro Clima FORTEX MELIOR system gives designers greater freedom to achieve durable, energy-efficient and compliant façades without compromising architectural intent.
Key benefits of the Pro Clima FORTEX MELIOR system with ROCKWOOL Rainscreen:
AS/NZS 4284 tested at the pre-cladding stage, providing confidence across a wide range of façade designs.
Fully adhered ADHERO WRBs provide resistance to wind-driven rain and pressure-induced water ingress.
ROCKWOOL Rainscreen delivers non-combustible fire performance, improved thermal efficiency through reduced thermal bridging and external to internal acoustic benefits.
Vapour-open options support condensation control and healthier wall assemblies.
